Villa Azura

Villa Azura, a serene retreat set on 1½ acres of direct waterfront gardens. Andrew Goodenough, Antigua’s world-renowned architect was commissioned to design this stylish and unique villa. Colourful Mexican features blend seamlessly with tropical Caribbean elements resulting in open-air living and embracing the stunning ocean views.  Ideally located just a few short minutes from Long Bay, one of Antigua’s most desirable beaches. Unspoilt, private and peaceful, this stylish estate features a stunning infinity edged pool overlooking the sea, mature landscaping and gardens, 3 spacious bedrooms with the Caribbean’s first air-conditioned beds, outdoor rain showers, and an entertainment  al fresco verandah dining area. A rooftop terrace with built in seating provides the perfect setting to soak up the sun, stars and spectacular ocean views.

There is a large living room with plenty of comfortable seating and French doors that open fully onto a covered verandah, swimming pool and sea view beyond. There is a sunken den area next to this designed for relaxing, reading or watching your favorite movie. Wireless internet service is provided throughout the villa. All interior walls have been plastered using eco-friendly American Clay, a 100% natural and non-toxic plaster. The swimming pool has an infinity edge along the sea line and is surrounded by all-weather sun loungers. Adjacent to the pool is a gazebo with a day bed and other seating. A walk or short drive to nearby Long Bay Beach makes for a wonderful sun filled afternoon.

Enjoy a leisurely lunch provided by several eating establishments including La Tartaruga Restaurant serving fresh fish and lobster meals or delicious, fresh homemade pasta at Mama Pasta’s. Each of the 3 bedrooms is furnished with an award-winning ecofriendly Evening Breeze bed. These specially designed canopy 4-poster beds allow for full climate control and provide a superb sleeping experience. This means the bed area within the mosquito net can be air conditioned while still permitting the louvered windows to be left open. An inter-connecting door between two of the bedrooms is perfect for young families.

All bedrooms benefit further from a pergola-covered patio overlooking the sea, en-suite bathroom and outdoor walled rain showers with tropical plantings. The covered verandah dining area with a large, custom-built-in barbecue, makes a wonderful setting to entertain guests. Enjoy views of both the private walled garden and out to the pool and sea. A teak dining table seats up to 8 guests and the fully equipped kitchen is wonderfully fitted with high quality appliances.

Villa Azura is surrounded by a landscaped garden extensively planted with a variety of tropical plants, trees and fruit trees. There is parking for several cars as well as a pergola covered parking space.
