Lime Hill is a luxury villa high on the hillside of Galleon Beach Resort. Lime Hill has spectacular westerly views over Freeman’s Bay, towards Montserrat and Falmouth Harbour, and historic World Heritage Site of Nelson’s Dockyard in English Harbour.
Architect designed Lime Hill was built in traditional colonial style in 2002, and has four air conditioned double bedrooms, each of which has an equally stunning sea view. Enjoy the Infinity swimming pool, surrounded by a secluded tropical garden, or take a few minutes stroll down the hill to the beach. A spacious furnished gazebo was finished in 2014, giving additional living space coupled with truly breathtaking views over Freemans Bay and into Nelson’s Dockyard, perfect for a sundowner or three. Enjoy numerous hiking trails through the adjoining National Park lands and leading up to famed Shirley Heights. View stunning sunsets and listen to steel drum and reggae bands on Sunday and Thursday evenings,
The beautiful white sand, calm waters of Galleon Beach are just a few footsteps away.
On the upper floor, the fully equipped kitchen, with dishwasher, fridge/freezer/ice maker and water purifier leads into the spacious, air conditioned, lounge/dining room, which features large glass wide sliding patio doors the width of the room on opposite sides, to keep the whole room cool, assisted by paddle fans, enabling tropical outdoor/indoor living. The living room is also air conditioned for those who prefer to chill ! There is an eclectic selection of books, large flat-screen satellite TV, Wi-Fi and internet. The rear patio doors open onto the walled stonework terrace and outside dining or breakfast area, giving privacy and seclusion.
The lounge leads on to the master bedroom, with a super king four poster bed fitted with full mosquito netting, large ensuite bathroom with full size bath/shower, double basins and outside tropical shower. A second bedroom with a king size four poster double bed and ensuite bathroom with shower is also on this floor. Both bedrooms have their own balconies overlooking gorgeous Freeman’s Bay.
All four bedrooms have fitted mosquito nets and individual air conditioning, which is not necessary in the lounge area, as the house was designed to take advantage of the ever present trade winds.
Breakfast with the humming birds on the secluded rear terrace, gazebo or downstairs by the pool.
The Lower Floor -The double Caribbean style over-arch staircase leads down to the pool area, off which are the two other bedrooms, one of which has a dividable super-king bed and adjacent bathroom with shower. Bedroom four has a super king four poster double bed and ensuite shower and toilet. Both downstairs bedrooms have French doors giving direct access to the pool area. An infant’s crib/cot and beds suitable for children are also available on request. Lime Hill has mosquito screening throughout, and fitted netting on all the four beds.
To one side of the pool, steps lead up to the covered gazebo which is a perfect option for relaxing and watching the works go by and for outside dining of course.
The mature garden includes tropical plants such as Bougainvillea, Jacaranda, Paw-Paw, Hibiscus, Alamanda, Christmas Candle, Breadfruit, Shaddock, Mango, Coconut, Banana, Breadfruit Lime and Oleander.
Additional complementary facilities include 24 hour gated security, day ferry in season, and of course one of the finest gently sloping white sand beaches with warm calm clear water, ideal for families, all just a few minutes stroll down the hill.
Most of the year, there is a day ferry from Galleon Beach to Nelson’s Dockyard and nearby Falmouth, with shops and a mini market, some ten minutes’ drive away.
The onsite beach restaurant Loose Cannon, is also a couple of minutes stroll away.
Galleon can also arrange for a chef, and baby sitting on request.
