Fair Winds

Fair Winds, constructed in 2015 as a residential home, is built on two floors, independently accessed.  On the upper level, the open-plan living area features sliding glass doors that retract into the walls allowing for true indoor/outdoor living and giving access to the covered outdoor dining space and pool deck with custom infinity pool. A modern, fully equipped kitchen features SMEG and Whirlpool appliances, a five-burner gas stove, oversized gas oven, and inbuilt dishwasher. To the side of the main kitchen is a laundry alcove with separate washer and drier.

The main level master bedroom suite has two independent walk-in closets, and the master bathroom has a large double basin console and a Spa like shower cubicle. On the opposite side of the central living area is a lovely second suite with king bed, double closets and an ensuite shower room.

On the lower level, the lounge located between the two ensuite bedrooms has the potential to be converted to a kitchen/living area as the plumbing and electrics are already pre-installed.  Also, one of the two bedrooms can be converted into a living room. All suites have ceiling fans and are fully air conditioned.

Uniquely, the villa is offered complete with a combination of European, Mexican, Far East and South Pacific paintings. There are museum grade copies of Picasso, Van Gogh, Botero, Klimt, Kandinsky and Matisse combined with paintings of Frida Kahlo, Gauguin and some Far Eastern inspirational mandalas and other paintings. The frames were all made by European artisans.

The villa’s beautiful grounds were landscaped by one of Antigua’s top landscape designers and incorporate several hundred plants and fruit trees, including bananas, papayas, passion fruit, figs, dates, coconuts, and pomegranates.

Guests at Fair Winds enjoy access to the adjacent Sugar Ridge Resort. Facilities at the Sugar Hill Club include the two outstanding restaurants, nightclub/lounge, Aveda health spa, a well-equipped and fully air-conditioned gym, and large communal swimming pool. Fair Winds is a short walk from Jolly Harbour with its large sand beach, modern supermarket, 18-hole golf course, tennis courts, communal pool, boutique shops, art galleries, a pharmacy, car rentals, water sports, and several excellent restaurants. The capital of Antigua, St. John’s, is only a 15-minute drive away and the airport is a 25-minute drive from the Villa.

Fair Winds is being offered fully furnished. There is government electricity and water, internet, cable tv, a back-up generator, ceiling fans, security system, three water cisterns, storage rooms, and full hurricane shutters. There is a solar energy system which supplies electricity to the villa, the pool pump and hot water system.
